GriffinSports Highlights from
The CABA High School World Series in Chicago Illinois.

Ardell Cloud who ended the season leading the team in hitting (.422), RBI’s (19) and On Base Percentage (.641) had four hits, including a double, five RBI’s, two walks and scored a run.
Jacob Cantrell who ended the season second on the team with a (.576) On-Base percentage, had a single, a walk, a stolen base and scored a run. In one game Jacob also had six put-outs in center field, including a diving catch on a sinking line drive.
Kevin Keane who led the team in doubles (8), was third on the team with a (.550) On-Base percentage and ended the season hitting (.333) had three hits including two doubles, a run scored and two walks. Kevin also made a spectacular back-handed catch, one foot from the fence deep in foul territory in left field.
CJ Griffin who ended the season fourth on the team in On-Base Percentage (.481) had four hits, two stolen bases and scored a run. CJ also made a diving catch in the hole at shortstop.
Zach Peters who ended the season second on the team in doubles (6) had three hits including a double, a stolen base and two walks. Zach also had a nice play at third base when he made a bare-handed pick-up on a slow rolling ball down the third base line and threw out the batter at first base.
Alex Wojtala who had a hit and who lead the team in innings pitched (44), strikeouts (23) and ERA (3.34), pitched four innings with only one walk.
Joe Bates who had four hits including a double, four walks, scored a run, a stolen base and an RBI.
Wilzon Santos who ended the season second on the team in hitting (.346) had four hits, five stolen bases and two RBIs. Wilzon also threw out a runner at home who was trying to score on a single from second base.
Jonathan Griffin who hit a season high .308 had two hits and two walks.
Alejandro Gonzalez Jr who led the team in runs (18) had a double, scored three runs, (one when he tagged up and scored from third base on a pop-up to the first baseman in foul territory) and a walk.
Lucas Daugherty who had a single and an RBI and an unassisted double play at third base. It was the ninth GriffinSports double play of the season. Lucas also pitched six innings with five strikeouts and no walks.
David Pierce who pitched four innings and only allowed one run to the Fort Wayne (Ind.) Cubs.
Chris Grillo had two hits, a walk, scored two runs and had two RBIs
Brandon Evans had three walks and a stolen base.
Jonathan Giebel who was nursing a back injury, pitched two innings with one strikeout.
Javier Camargo who in one game had three put-outs in right field.

GriffinSports Lost both games in the CABA World series on Sunday. Highlights for GriffinSports were:
- Ardell Cloud who leads the team in hitting .436, had a hit and scored a run.
- Jacob Cantrell who is second on the team in hitting .364 had a hit.
- Joe Bates had three walks and scored a run.
- Brandon Evans had two walks.
- CJ Griffin who is third on the team in stolen bases (7), had a single and a stolen base
- Jonathan Griffin had a walk
- Zach Peters had a double
- Lucas Daugherty had a hit and an unassisted double play at third base. It was the ninth GriffinSports doubleplay of the season.

GriffinSports Will Have Two Fall Baseball Teams.
The 15U and 17U teams will play in the Great Lakes League
- 6 week season with Labor Day Weekend off
- Games will be on Sunday’s starting on August 22nd

Players age is determined by his age on May 1, 2010
The cost to play is only $150, (Due by Aug. 7th)
We will also practice once per week at Maplewood Diamonds on Wednesday’s starting at 5:30pm

Ohio Massasagus defeated GriffinSports (Gray) 12-0

Alex Koran pitched a one hitter and Ohio Massasagus scored 10 runs in the fifth inning to defeat GriffinSports (Gray).
Game Two
GriffinSports (Blue) after trailing early in the game 5-1 rallied and scored 14 runs in three innings to defeat GriffinSports (Gray) 15-5

Game Three
Behind strong pitching from Lucas Daugherty, CUDA baseball defeated The Middleburg Hts. Hurricanes 3-2.
